The iPhone 5 16GB edition is up grabs at a reduced price with O2 right now, as part of one of the carrier’s periodic flash sales.

Under the terms of O2’s offer, which ends on June 30th, customers who sign up for the iPhone 5 on a two-year contract at £32 per month will pay £29.99 upfront to cover the cost of the handset. The tariff previously featured an upfront asking price of £159.99.

O2’s deal also includes a monthly allowance of 1GB of mobile data, as well as unlimited minutes and unlimited SMS messages.

Packing a larger four-inch retina display, the fifth-gen Apple handset is also home to an A6 processor that’s twice as fast as the A5 that powered the iPhone 4S and features 16GB of internal memory for storing apps, games and music.

The iPhone 4S’s eight-megapixel iSight camera has been tweaked too, adding enhanced HD video recording, as well as a panorama mode and improved performance in low-light conditions.
